Six leading personalities from the fields of advertising, media and marketing have been appointed as ambassadors of ADC China to lead the process and act as an inspiration for students to enter the field of advertising.
These are Amir Kassaei, president of the Art Directors Club Germany and chief creative officer of DDB Group Germany, Dan Mintz, founder and chief creative officer of DMG (Dynamic Marketing Group), Michael Dee, chief creative officer of DDB China Group, Kevin Lee, executive creative director of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, Yang Liu, founder of Yang Liu Design and Doug Schiff, executive creative director of OgilvyOne. Dan Mintz recently represented ADC China during the ADC Germany Creative Summit in Berlin. With the theme “The creative revolution in China”, Mintz spoke about the growth of China’s creative industry to an audience of marketing directors and advertising creatives from major European brands.
Alexander Funk, general manager for ADC China, said: “The ADC of China will bring high advertising standards to China and provide the right platform and influence to not only raise the bar of advertising, but help fuel the creative revolution in China. It will provide a benchmark for western brands on how to convey brand personality, attitude, passions and dreams in China.”
Dan Mintz, founder and chief creative officer of DMG said: ““As global brands look to China for growth, the need to understand the unique mechanisms of the Chinese consumer market has never been so pivotal to success. The ADC will provide the right platform for young creatives in China to understand global branding and harness their creativity to create meaningful campaigns that connect with Chinese audiences whilst meeting international advertising standards.”
The ADC is a self-funding, not-for-profit organisation. Through its motto "Cultivating Creativity“, ADC China will promote innovative communication solutions through competitions, seminars, lectures and publications and an annual congress. For more information please go to www.adc-china.com

ABOUT ADC
The first Art Directors Club was established in 1920 in New York by a curious group of creatives who proposed the idea that advertising could be judged by the same standards as fine art. The goal was to inform their peers that creativity and artistic virtue are the lifeblood of successful advertising. This was the beginning of the annual selection the world’s best design and advertising art by top industry professionals for over a century running. Subsequently, the idea took form internationally in the following decades. Among others the Art Directors Club of Tokyo was founded in 1952, followed by ADC of Germany in 1964, then all of Europe in 1990 and in 2008 in China.
Since ever, ADCs around the world focus on the highest standards of excellence in visual communications for the industry, and encourage students and young professionals entering the field. ADC provides a forum for creatives in Advertising, Design, Interactive Media and Communications to explore the direction of these rapidly converging industries.
