Luxury yachts and a busy client trip

We touched down in sunny, picturesque Nice on a freezing January Monday morning and were met by the client, Nick, a co-founder of Cheoy Lee Riviera. We were also met by Olly, partner at Igloo, a design and web-development agency who will be working on Cheoy Lee Riviera’s website, and a Cheoy Lee Riviera representative, Natalie, who had been recently employed by the client to spread positive word of the brand.

After piling into the client’s 4x4, we drove for an hour to yet another picturesque town, Sanremo in Italy, to visit the harbour to see a Cheoy Lee yacht. When we arrived, we visited the ‘Bendis’, a Bravo 95, and met up with Athos, the other co-founder of Cheoy Lee Riviera. This yacht stood out from the others, it had a noticeable displacement hull (most of the other boats in the harbour are semi-displacement) and looked completely pristine from the outside. I was shocked to later learn that this boat was not brand new but in fact four years-old.

The interior of Bendis was impressively spacious. It felt as though we were in someone’s house, not on a boat. The yacht had three spacious marble en suite bedrooms equipped with gold taps, of course.

The galley was small but also had marble surfaces and tiles, equipped with all the mod cons.  Up on the top deck, there was a hot tub and barbeque with lots of seating for entertaining guests. Downstairs, the crew area was big enough to accommodate five staff and was linked on to a separate room with a Caterpillar marine engine.

We had the opportunity to wander around a different yacht manufactured by another brand that was similar in size, and the same age as the Bendis. It seemed much narrower inside and you could see that it was made up of various different parts that are then welded/stuck/glued together, whereas Cheoy Lee yachts are all made from one mould.

The Bendis is such a beautiful and spacious yacht, the perfect boat to cruise the Mediterranean, or wherever takes your fancy. I would be more than happy to own a Bravo 95!
